SignalBot

SignalBot ist der Abrufdienst hinter Jobly: er prüft täglich die öffentlichen Stellen- und Projektangebote
aller in Jobly gelisteten Firmen, nicht nur der von Nutzern gefolgten. Abgerufen werden öffentliche Karriereseiten,
öffentliche Stellenlisten von Bewerbersystemen (z. B. Personio, Greenhouse, Lever), öffentliche Projektlisten samt
ihrer öffentlichen Detailseiten und Nachrichten-Feeds. Er liest vorher robots.txt und hält sich daran, hält
mindestens 2 Sekunden Abstand je Host, begrenzt die Anfragen je Lauf und ruft kein Login und keine Formulare auf.
403 oder 429 beendet den Abruf dieses Hosts für den Lauf sofort. Gespeichert werden Titel, Link und kurze
Eckdaten der Angebote, Inhalte werden nicht weiterveröffentlicht.
Sperren: in robots.txt "User-agent: SignalBot" mit "Disallow: /".
Firma entfernen: Mail an die Kontaktadresse auf Jobly mit Betreff "Firma entfernen" und der Domain, ohne Login, es zählt nur die
Antwortadresse der Mail. Die Domain kommt auf die Sperrliste: SignalBot ruft sie ab sofort nicht mehr ab,
bestehende Stellen der Firma verschwinden.

SignalBot is the fetcher behind Jobly: it checks the public job and project listings of every company
listed in Jobly once a day, not only the ones users follow. It reads public career pages, public job boards of
applicant tracking systems (e.g. Personio, Greenhouse, Lever), public project lists including their public
detail pages, and news feeds. It honours robots.txt, waits at least 2 seconds per host, caps requests per run
and never logs in or submits forms. A 403 or 429 stops all requests to that host for the run. It stores title,
link and short details of each listing and does not republish content.
To block it, add "User-agent: SignalBot" with "Disallow: /".
Remove a company: email the contact address on Jobly with subject "Remove company" and the domain, no login needed, only the
reply address of the mail is used. The domain goes on the block list: SignalBot stops fetching it at once
and the company's existing listings disappear.
